PRIMARY FUNCTION
To assist in the preparation and service of quality meals for our
guest and staff
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- # Contribute to the success of our food preparation by helping
the department meet its objectives
- # Prepare menu items as designated by the sous chef and cooks.
- # Help to maintain all necessary mise en place
- # Carry out cleaning duties as designated
- # Contribute to menu planning by communicating ideas the Chef
and Sous Chef.
- # Assist in controlling food cost by rotating stock and maintaining
proper storage
- # Maintain your station in a clean and sanitary condition keeping
in mind safety first
- # Understand that job shifts and hours fluctuate with business
demands. Shifts may include early mornings late evenings, weekends,
and some holidays
- # Carry out all duties as requested by management
- # Read and understand Staff handbook
- # Attend and participate in staff meetings
- # Fill out closing inventories for prep and order
SKILLS REQUIRED
- # Basic understanding of food preparation, sanitation and food
handling
- # Able to follow recipes
- # Be a team worker
- # Be reliable
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- # Able to lift and carry items up to 60 #s
- # Able to work standing for long periods
